I was 27 in 2016, and I was really high on election night and woke up at 4 am to see that trump won. we're just under mass psychosis now, probably since covid. Nostalgia is just a way to cope. I'm working on something to capitalize on Nostalgia for the DINKS and HENRYS out there. Gen Z isn't our target consumer though. : (
I just remember Hotline Bling and The Hills Have Eyes playing everywhere. I don't even remember caring about seeking out new music. I was miserable and pessimistic. "Nostalgic" fuck I wish I could forget it ever happened.

Twenty One Pilots My Blood
The Smile The Smoke , You Will Never Work In Television Again
Queens Of The Stone Age- Hideaway
I don't know why people listen to the things they do but when it comes to twenty one pilots they have something negative to say. Face it, its this generations version of My Chemical Romance

2016 was the year I got out of the military. During the six years I was in I was totally out of the loop on anything regarding culture

Sharty zoomers don't know when they encounter another zoomer on 4chan going frfr no cap and use language that's totally bussin they're actually talking to a millennial who is pretending to be one of them to annoy other millennials. People like you see yourself at the top of the trolling heap here but really the only thing you'll ever accomplish is being mildly annoying. We cosplay as you when we want people to think we're fucking stupid.

Idk, but that period was very prosperous for indie techno music. I was really into hardcore, rough and speedcore.
It was during that time that the meme-genre "future funk" were created and popularied by artists like MoeShop.
