>>127275256 (OP)you're not aphex twin. what do you want?
>>127275256 (OP)>- His only inspiration was himselfActually, early 808 State was a definitive influence on his music.
There was just something different about being a computer nerd in the late 80s early 90s. I feel like using the computer now is synonymous with using the internet. Back then, even though the internet existed, it wasn't the primary use for a computer. So you could stay indoors all day working with (playing with) the productive, creative software that was available on your PC, instead of now where staying indoors on your computer usually means scrolling or watching videos or generally just wasting time.
I didn't grow up in the UK, but I hear that they have a better independent music culture, or at least back then they did. Where performing and making music was more social. You couldn't make music on your computer and then lazily post it to the internet for others to listen to, you had to go out and perform it for people. So there was a balance between staying indoors creating, and going outdoors to perform. And if it was shit, no one listened.
>>127276006Chicks who feign interest in Afx suck dick like a hoover
>>127276301Seems like the perfect conditions for a genius like Aphex Twin to be created
>>127275738and he plays other peopleโs tracks at his shows all the time
>>127275256 (OP)Real hot girls like this lil nigga like you wouldn't believe. Most of is fake posture but some of the actually understand his music. Coincidentally they tend to do loads of ketamine. Nothing better than that type of women. Type that won't post pictures of herself online
>>127275256 (OP)>his only inspiration was himselfWrong.
>I love Ween. I really, really like everything they do.-Richard D. James in a 1997 interview with Perfect Sound Forever
i feel like idm is one of those incredibly rare genres where you're good enough just listening to the most popular act. yknow autechre, boc, squarepusher, u-ziq, vibert, vsnares, etc. have good tracks under their belts sandwiched between all the experimentation they do, but theyre not even close to having a percent of the consistency and creativity afx has. it's like the man runs on divine inspiration 24/7.
no hate, it can be a fun genre sometimes but youre better off listening to more focused styles
>>127275256 (OP)im pretty sure hes ai generated
>>127275738kraftwerk and steve reich, john cage. if you listen to that kind of stuff you will see the influence.
>>127281787i'm really surprised by him liking ween. but still hardly an influence especially since they weren't even around when he started out..
