Was Matt (temporarily) anti-lockdown and critical to Covid vaccines?

Yes he was. He was also pro-brexit. It should be obvious to any Muse fan by now that Matt has been into the truther / "conspiracy" scene since the 2000s. Literally every fucking Muse song is about these topics albeit in a simple / vague way. Matt was (and I'd say still is) a fan of Alex Jones in the 2000s to where he even went on his show Infowars over the phone. He's also a fan of David Icke and still follows him on Twitter to this day.

The thing is people today are so fucking moronic they say call anybody who believes these things "right wing". Ring wing and conspiracy theorist go hand in hand to idiots today. In today's world Muse could be labelled as one of the biggest "alt right conspiracy theorist" bands around by idiots. But luckily they haven't been.

To me I can tell it's one of the reasons why Anthony Fantano hates them because he can see how Matt thinks.

Chris Martin went funny after moving to America but Matt Bellamy clears him in the Hollyweird pools by miles

Would you say he changed his mind?
>‘Compliance’ is the sort of future-pop freedom fighting that Muse have been doing for decades, but by featuring lines like “fall into line, you will do as you’re told”, “no more defiance, just give us your compliance” and “fear is controlling you”, it sometimes sounds alarmingly like something Ian Brown or one of his fellow anti-vaxx disinformation rockers might come up with today, featuring Laurence Fox, Toby Young and Piers Corbyn as the Fart In Your Trousers Choir. “It’s an unfortunate coincidence,” says a fully-vaxxed, mask-friendly Bellamy. “I could have written that song in 2008 or 2005.”

Yes. People were already drawing parallels to the Halloween song and getting locked in the house during COVID. And there's a song on that album that mentions the great reset.
