if they hated Rog so much, why did they put him on the cover?

I remember buying this CD as a kid because I liked the cover. The 80's production and spacey ballads of this album are amazing, sounds so completely devoid of anything PF has made before and stands on it's own. Definitely not the best PF but it's still a great later outing nonetheless

better than final cut

Pretty good. At the very least, it's better than Final Cut and has some really good work by Wright on it.

Keep Talking and High Hopes had good lyrics, but there are tacky overtly David songs like Coming Back to Life and Lost for Words.

It's pretty good. I think High Hopes is their best song without Roger Waters.

The Final Cut is underrated, but The Division Bell is overrated. TDB sucks.

It's a decent end for their career. And better than A Momentary Lapse of Reason for sure.
Listening to "It's What We Do" and I cannot believe they didn't include it in the final cut of the album. The work of Wright is excellent, retrieving all that crazy diamond vibe like never before.
Well, I guess that's the price for a more commercial approach (and letting your wife in charge of lyrics overall).

To me High Hopes is the de facto last song of the band. Screw The Endless River.

>Fuck this waffle, I was the true genius of Floyd
Based Rog. I mean he's not wrong either, at least in terms of lyrics.
But also it can't be denied that Division Bell is musically far superior to the majority of Roger's solo work, which while thematically strong can be extremely thin on the earworms.
It's almost like if you put them together, Waters and Gilmour would make a perfect combination for writing songs. What a dream team that would have been.

That's why they were the best rock band in the world in the 70s.
