the problem is the songwriting is better on Doolittle but the production on Surfer Rosa in certain moments is arguably more iconic. Hard to really compare to the way gigantic, and where is my mind sound. But besides the few best tracks Surfer Rosa has a lot of middling tracks

gotta learn how to keep feeling. I'm 30 and put on music every day and feel a ton sometimes even cry. Guess I don't rage as much but I certainly feel as much. Pic related and John Fahey really do it for me but so do many of my classic favorites

i'm the type of music autist that had to pull up Gigantic in music editing software and enhance the quiet bass and vocals only sections because I was tired of blasting it from my stereo and it being completely mute during the vocals and completely too loud during the chorus, the loud quiet dynamic is still there I just made it listenable for public places

Doolittle and Surfer Rosa and Come on Pilgrim are all equals regarding songwriting. Surfer Rosa is one tier below the other two in production quality though. Albini is the worst hack ever, no wonder Cobain wasn't satisfied with his In Utero mix and had to redo it before releasing it. Must have realized then he just likedt he songs on Surfer Rosa and not Albini's shit sound. Surfer Rosa with Doolittle production would be godlike
