Oh, you really don't get it, do you? Temporary Like Achilles is a fantastic song. The piano is the main attraction and the epitome of the mercurial sound that Bob was so fond of during this period (as played by Hargus "Pig Robbins), but personally I love Dylan's cool, evocative delivery on that one. It takes me right to the action, to the ironic and disaffected beatnik so captured by this woman and her femboy bodyguard. You can tell a lot about a man by how much they enjoy, how much they understand Temporary Like Achilles.

Five Believers is far from the worst track on the album. It's filler, to be sure, but of the best kind. A stomping blues riff, in a sense the bachelor party before Sad Eyed Lady's ceremony of commitment and beauty. It's needed in the same way St Augustine needed to steal that pear, no? To bring us closer and straighten the path to what we strive to be.

Pledging my time is the weakest one, but because the other ones are so much everything to chill to, if pledging my time was in another record like Saved or New morning it'd be the records biggest tune.

megakek. sweet marie is one of the best!! its fine you like that song so much but come on, as a tune it barely stands against all the other stuff around it. super forgettable save for a few lines, like the scorpion part.
