As I've long felt Tonight would be a great EP. One classic (LTA), one very good track (Blue Jean) and at least 2 decent numbers in there.
But the lows are pretty low.
On the other hand, NLMD lacks the same highs, as even its best song - TWC - isn't great, but it has fewer lows.
NLMD is mediocre but consistently mediocre vs. the roller coaster of Tonight

That makes no sense considering he still made a little over half a dozen great records after this.
