FiiO isn't real. FiiO can't hurt you.
Witness: the actual best MP3 player currently on market.

Phones with an app have wrecked the market for dedicated players. There just doesn't seem to be a use for them now that everyone on the planet except your grandparents has a smartphone.

I hate the UI but an app like Neutron with settings up the ass will get you any quality of sound you desire.

maybe but you'll have to stare at your screen to use it. i bought a used sony NWA for the precise reason that it has a bunch of buttons i can use while it's sitting in my pocket, plus the superior sound quality.

Why buy a dedicated mp3 player? its either shit and overpriced or if you bought an old one youโ€™d have to MacGyver it to be up to par with recent tech (storage, battery, and maybe a charger port change). Donโ€™t you guys keep the old phones you have when you buy a new model? Take your old phone save all the things on it and transfer it off to a hard drive, remove any extra bloat on it, then use VLC(flac files can be used) or Apple Music if you want and put as much music on it using soulseek or DAB. I respect if you still want to keep it old school but donโ€™t think you canโ€™t use the things around you to get the same results

I need something that can play any kind of dumbass filetype I throw at it. MP3, FLAC, OPUS, M4A, whatever and doesn't cost more than like $400. What should I get?
