I'm of the opinion that anything can be made better by putting an anime girl on it...unless it's an album cover. In which case, I'm not listening
>any album that isnt actually Japanese
>art, music or lyrics apes cliched aspects of anime or Japanese stuff in general

It's crazy how many albums of the same genre have basically the same exact cover for every album. It would already be kind of weird if a bad did this, but an entire genre? What the fuck.

i hate what modern times did to this genre and drum n bass; i don't even think the whole reason they make it seem like it's "nostalgic" or something seems correct or understandable, i think came from a video game or something. otherwise, a lot of these anime ""breakcore"" things are just poorly done drum n bass, and if this whole genre revival did come from interest in a video game, then why is anime associated with it? it's really dumb.

I don't get the new generation nerd's obssession with anime girls. Back in my day we liked anime and the girls were part of it, but now it seems everything is about this samey-looking anime girls and the rest is just extra.

We live in an increasingly pedophilic society. And they're spraying blood into the air to turn more people into pedophiles. That's why one out of every five houses has a pedophile living in it now. And they're bring creatures from underground up to the surface and passing them off as disabled people, but that's another thing...

I think the trend of slapping anime girls onto breakcore album covers originated with j-core back in the late 90s and early 2000s.
J-core was just a loose name for a large scene of Japanese doujin music circles that played digital hardcore, grindcore/cybrgrind, denpa, speedcore, Hardcore EDM, jungle, breakcore, hardstyle and the like and it was often connected to anime aesthetics.
It was almost entirely a Japanese thing throughout the 90s and 2000s, the West discovered it in the early 2010s and so slapping anime girls onto album covers became associated with terminally online internet music and became the face of nu-breakcore (shitty drum and beat).

That's not breakcore that's jungle made by amateurs. Hey guys have you ever heard of the amen break? No I'm not going to chop the shit out of it and play it at an insane bpm with crazy distorted variations. I'm just going to loop it. Lol fuck outta here with calling that breakcore. Even real jungle in the 90s made with inferior hardware samplers was more boundary pushing.

Even back in the 90s there were plenty of non-Japanese artists putting anime/manga artwork on their releases all throughout the underground electronic music scene. I don't think there was any big reason as to why, it's most likely because the type of guys who wanted to make jungle/digital hardcore/gabber/breakcore/IDM/drill & bass/techstep/whateverhtefuckcorestep were nerds and anime was gaining a wider global audience in a post-Akira age.
