my honest and impartial view, i believe yujin was in the wrong. even though she is the leader with a traditional role to accept the award on behalf of everyone. except ive has a different dynamic than a lot of groups. many groups have popular members that arent in leadership position but ive is an extreme case which makes them an outlier. whether wonyoung deserves the fame or not is a separate discussion, but it’s difficult to deny the fact ive is very much a group that is built on wonyoung’s popularity. starship does not hide this at all and they often dress her in unique and contrasting outfits that enable her to stand out

yujin wasn't at fault for fast walking towards the award as the leader but she should have acknowledged wonyoung’s part in that award and backed down in humility. was it arrogant and in really bad taste of wonyoung to try to surpass yujin in that moment? yes but without her the group wouldn't have won it so if she thought she deserves to accept the award herself nobody can really argue that
