>crammed with strumming acoustic guitars
>Bill Ward's jazz faggotry on all songs
>the only known song is the title song
Why is it so overrated? Is it a "Jazz fags only Metal album in their collection" thing?
Anonymous No.127332210 >>127333441
The REAL Jazz is on the first four albums
I will have to relisten to this to hear the "Jazz" that Bill Ward introduces, because it sounds like straight aead rock drumming to me.

A National Acrobat mogs every track that follows. Metallica cover brought it to a new generation even though their version sucks

Metal got so stupid after Sabbath. It all went downhill when the rhythm sections went to shit. Now it's just insane guitar break beat tribal conniptions. Future metal will just be drilling yourself in the temple.

It's because Ward doesn't just pound the drums like a barbarian and blastbeat he does little textural cymbal crashes and fills. This is "jazz" if your whole diet is hard rock and heavy metal. Plus his influences is a big list of big band drummers but that was everyone back then.

Sabbath was the only "metal" band that could swing like a big band. All thanks to Ward and Geez.

Listen to Tony's leads, on some of the songs, particularly Warning, as the most blatant example.
Now, imagine it being played on a trumpet instead. of a distorted electric guitar.

And if you're too stupid to do that....

Why was hard rock and metal fans horrified by Van Halen releasing Jump when Black Sabbath had already put out https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bnT_DIt6DUo over a decade earlier and has no guitar?
