Yeah but he shot 17 of sharon's cats with a double-barrel shotgun, which he had to reload 8 times throughout the massacre. Standing there, maintaining the composure to load the shells into the barrels between each pair of cats, and then, like a machine, doing it again, and again, cat brains spattered everywhere.

What i don't like is the overpraising of it like every tape of hip hop released is a masterpiece and culturally relevant. Most of it is absolute generic slop but truth be told it's the same situations in all genres.
What i'm saying is, i hate the overappretiation of the genre like it's the second coming of christ and you can't even say you don't like it without getting weird looks, i do enjoy some rap but not at that level

Music critics tend to be indoorsey and nerdy. They're attracted to the violent and visceral because of its novelty. It's the reason they embraced punk so early and rejected with such venom the prog acts that would later go on to be recognized as geniuses. Rap is the same thing for the most part. Deranged psychopaths like King Von are put on a pedestal for reasons other than the music. The new "dril" scenes are the logical extension of this where everyone is dying at like 25.

I agree that Muse is better.
I was just curious about black musicians, because out of my favorite albums, around ~80% were produced by caucasian/asian men, ~15% by caucasian/asian women, and 5% by m/f blacks.

No, im saying making rap is easy. It is. Becoming famous is not easy it has always been hard rn Rap is saturated with a mountain of garbage even all the way to the top. People that made their fame is because of their life, they were part of a gang or their aesthetics (like Bones) or some shit.

What they "sing" (rapping is not singing) about is dumb shit without much depth though. also they cant sing. they cannot do anything in tone let alone hold a note. Nothing.
Retard level skill ceiling. Getting rich out of rap would require me to find a good aesthetic that has not been taken such as how Bones did it. Then push a style (not substance just style) forward. Rap is the death of music.

For me, it's how they sample pre-existing music and modifying it to create a new form of rhythm/song. Some albums like the Low-End Theory exemplifies this.
