This is gonna be a new general, I don’t really give a shit if im the only one who posts anything of substance, but it seems that the niche of this board and of music in particular is its relation to the occult and all that brings.

So, post some fucking music that brings you closer with whatever it is you perceive whatever to be.

Here’s my cat, he is the one that guides my path.

I’ll start proceedings off with some amateur level introduction music that is a starter.

Album cover for the song is pretty self explanatory, but can anyone elaborate as to what is self explanatory about it?

Other than basic amateur entry level music based and themed on the occult, there’s also the not-so-obvious, such as this song.

Something about it just wants to make you crack a bottle open, maybe thats just me though.

david bowie was a person genuinely into the occult, not like modern rappers and pop sluts pretending to be illuminati. Its sprinkled through out his musical discography.

The album station to station is probably the peak of it

I’ve never listened to David Bowie as I think I heard one of his songs when I was in my youth and didn’t really have any interest in it. But I’ll give that album a listen either way.

Nice timing OP, I’ve been getting into ritual ambient a bit lately.

This album is really good, I love the flow of it. It sucked me in from the beginning, and feels like floating through dark woods filled with ritual activity. Less outright scary and more dark/mesmerizing. I’ve listened a handful of times now and definitely recommend

I'm closer to the Golden Dawn
Immersed in Crowley's uniform of imagery
I'm living in a silent film
Portraying Himmler's sacred realm of dream reality
I'm frightened by the total goal
Drawing to the ragged hole
And I ain't got the power anymore
No, I ain't got the power anymore
I'm the twisted name on Garbo's eyes
Living proof of Churchill's lies, I'm destiny
I'm torn between the light and dark
Where others see their targets, divine symmetry
Should I kiss the viper's fang
Or herald loud the death of man?
I'm sinking in the quicksand of my thought
And I ain't got the power anymore
Don't believe in yourself
Don't deceive with belief
Knowledge comes with death's release
Ah-ah-ah-ah, ah-ah-ah-ah-ah

Just listened to the first part of Station to Station, and I still hold the opinion that although he can sing, it’s not my preference of singing thats enjoyable.
Maybe that will change one day, I dunno.

But thanks for the recommendation either way, I know Black Star is said to be immersed in the occult so I’ll look into that and post if anything sparks my interest.

Another album I’ll leave to the imagination is Alice Coltrane’s Journey to
Satchidananda.

They surely are occult lyrics, and the message that’s thematic throughout is the relationship one holds with ritualism and what can be done to break the cycle of the mundane.

Yes, cringe. If no one would be to discuss the occult at all, I don’t think there would be any music.
