What is everyone's favourite Maiden album?
For me, I'm really torn between Number Of The Beast or Powerslave. I mean all the 80's albums they did are good contenders for number 1 for me

never liked them, they has no groove and swag and vocals are too theatrical but run to the hills song is pretty lit

Check out Paul Di Anno era, much better than Dickinson's

It switches between pretty much all their '80s albums depending on the mood though I've been on a Di'Anno kick for a while now.

for me it gotta be Seventh Son of a Seventh Son chief. The Number of the Beast comes second though.

I’ve been really liking Fear of the Dark lately.

The Di’Anno era is pretty interestjng. Lots of punk influence in the songs despite Steve Harris never wanting to talk about it.

This might be a little bit of a hot take but i prefer Killers and Murders in the Rue Morgue with Dickinson on vocals

Bruce Dickinson was great in Samson.

Recently hit the entire discography. Number might really be the best one. Those songs are just so strong, the playing is tight, Clive had more flavor than serviceable Nicko.
Hot takes: The Blaze stuff is the best of the 90s, and Fear of the Dark is the worst album in the discography.

I completely agree with all your points. I think the Blaze albums are way too over hated and they actually put out some decent songs with him

Off topic, but what is the general consensus on A Life of Matter and Death? I have good memories of the album, so I am biased

I would regard it as a good album, not as good as Brave New World but still good

mostly good, although the production sucks and they haven't fixed it since because kevin shirley would make a chimney jealous with how much smoke he blows up their asses

It's Piece of Mind and Still Life is their greatest track.

I had that album but Still Life was my least favorite on it.

Every single Maiden album is great and packs more riffs than p much any contemporary except perhaps Sabbath or 'tallica.

Do you want the good news or the bad news? Good news is you can listen to the radio and enjoy it with no effort. Bad news is you're a pleb

Overall it's this, my favourite track from IM is Phantom of the Opera and I like the slightly more punk sound of the debut album.

>>127344385
Brave New World is actually my favourite Dickinson album for some reason. Either that or Powerslave. I really like The Wicker Man off it.

Yes, I think BNW, DOD and AMOLAD make up a great trilogy of new age Maiden. They weren't just a new style but a real revival
