Taylor is literally the most streamed artist of all time and her newest album is already a 6 time plat in the US. Gaga's Die with a Smile is on track to be the most profitable song of all time, her newest album is the best selling album this year and even Abracadabra is the most streamed pop song of the year, having better weekly numbers than Manchild and The Subway. I think that people put too much emphasis on the Billboard 100 to quantify a "hit", especially nowdays were streaming is the true mark of popularity and radio is dead. There was a recent artist who made it on the top 50 of billboard despite his song only have 400k streams, but it had over 30 million radio plays (obviously paid for by his label), and people are starting to realize how useless of a metric is is nowadays.

if i had to guess, taylor swift will release a few top 10 singles in the future, she's 36 now. but i'm tired of people talking about her all the time whenever anyone talks about female musicians and dominating the conversation about pop music for five or six years
