Boring band. Lack good melody, lack the bleakness and sterility of classic post-punk, or at least make it sound off and too polished, lack plain and simple rock n roll. They're an amalgamation of all things mid in music. They were very lucky to be around in a time when their competitors were dumb shit like Coldplay, The Strokes, Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Snow Patrol. Oh yeah but the guy really likes hiphop lol. Bunch of pseuds I'm afraid.

Some albums have an epilogue track which don't fit the overall structure... I think leif erikson falls into that category. The New has a much strong finality to it, and leif erikson just kind of hangs out.
