I like Deftones. I don't particularly like Around the Fur. Great mix, but Adrenaline does the whole post-hardcore riffs and energy thing better, and the few actually decently written songs that feel forward thinking are done better on just about every album since. The singles stand out, but that's about it. Goddamn, the mix is good though.

Deftones are one of my favourite bands and this is 100% how I feel about Around The Fur. The first half in particular is a real slog.
