Ah yes, the inevitable development of the annoying hardcore band into the insufferable hardcore band "with big ideas"

Their third best album. I kove Iceage and wish they'd release more music. New Brigade and You're Nothing are still a bit better than Plowing. 2009 demo version of Brokenbone is amazing

How many of their songs made you cry? lol

I prefer You're Nothing but yeah Plowing is good
Whilst not really musically comparable Fontaines DC did really steal their shot at being a truly big time band like they tried on future records, which were never as good as the first three

It was major kino in 2010. They had more threads than Mac Demarco

None for I'm a stone cold retard on that mental front. Nevertheless it's interesting how someone who sees the grand punk ethos as annoying still hangs about

You'll have to excuse the annoyance of watching this happen over and over again for 20+ years, including in the scenes I actively participated in all those years ago. It's beyond cliche in many genres, but it is especially annoying in punk.

Remember when the media attempted to cancel them for being "nazis"?

And what's with the vocals? Is it Punk not being able to sing? Even Rollins could hold a note

I get that the preaching can be annoying but come on man. The cliche forms as time moves forward and nothing changes. I hope you can still find the base relatable and maybe do something about how things are

He's Danish, couldn't sing all that well(at the time) and has English as his second language.

Is there anything else that sounds remotely like 'The Lords Favourite'? I've been searching for other sources for that distinct sound, to no success.

The Gun Club came close on 'Miami' but they really doesn't capture quite the same "Punk Country" sound. I've listened to a lot of Punk Blues and Psychobilly, Rowland S. Howard, Blues Explosion, The Fall, The Cramps, Alex Chilton, X... What the fuck? There has to be source material.

Their first 2 albums are like the last breath of punk. Teenagers siphoning their angst into battling with their instruments. So good

None of them were teens when they made these albums at the time. They're all millennials.

On My Fingers was the only song I ever got into from that album but it's the perfect example of a drunk guy singing.

God I miss doing cocaine and then I remember the comedowns and the fact that it rewires your brain to make you a disgusting person who cheats and has sex where children play
