Taylor Swift has got Max Martin and Shellback to write her upcoming album for her, just as they did with Red, 1989, and Reputation. So expect some melodically strong pop-hit types of songs.

I’m sure once again she’ll be praised by fans, critics, and the industry. Whereas if a male artist released these songs (say, a band like Imagine Dragons... Hell!.. any male musician. Even with the lyrics adjusted to fit them), they’d be mocked completely.

The female pop star gets it easy once again, I guess…

She never made any good music
She doesn't have one single song that will be memorable 3 decades from now on

For the most part she doesn't. She makes people believe she does. Just like Olivia Rodrigo, Chappel Roan and the rest pretend. The most Taylor will do is write some words that rhyme about a boy, strum her same 4 chords on her acoustic guitar and sing a rough melody. That's more than many, I guess? But the real songwriters are people like Max Martin who will not only improve her vocal melodies tremendously, but he will create the entire studio track that we all know and hear, as well as creating many, if not most of the tracks to begin with.

Taylor and the rest are nothing but phonies who pretend to be songwriters.

So Taylor Swift and rest get praised, but the likes of Nickelback, post grunge bands, Imagine Dragons, Fall Out Boy, Muse, Twenty One Pilots, etc will get hate - called "uncreative", "formulaic", etc? Makes zero sense. If Taylor and the rest could do what any of these musicians I listed could do, she and the rest would be hailed as geniuses.

>The female pop star gets it easy once again, I guess…

you really think Beiber has more creative input than she does ?
Anonymous No.127428001 >>127428058

She writes her own lyrics. In fact Max Martin was forced to testify to that effect in a lawsuit over the song 'Shake it Off' one of taylors biggest hits.

>“I did not write or provide any input into any lyrics in Shake It Off, which were written entirely by Ms. Swift.”

Taylors cult of personality with her fans very much revolves around her songs being her personal story. She has described writing lyrics as a form of therapy for her problems.

the producers are there to make the beats. She can't do them herself because it takes years to be good enough to do that. No pop star makes their own beats except the shitty ones.

the bad thing about Max Martin is that he has a Prince autism about playing every instrument on a track himself instead of having a proper backing band

>"B-B-BUT SHE DOESN'T EVEN WRITE HER OWN SONGS" still
pathetic desu
Anonymous No.127428122
"Write" in this case means she comes up with a vague outline of a song which the production team fills out and most of the lyrics she writes down probably have spelling mistakes.
