Which bands/singers do you think are underrated/overrated?

I personally rarely if ever think about if a band/singer is overrated/underrated. I usually just go off if they have songs I like or not.

My two best friends hate pic related and always bring them up as a overrated band when we talk about this topic.

Underrated: Billy Corgan/Smashing Pumpkins. A much better band than their contemporaries, but soft canceled by the establishment for shedding light on chemtrails, shapeshifters and globalism
meanwhile minor league players like Foo Fighters and Gaydiohead are still pushed relentlessly
Despite the industry's efforts, Smashing PUmpkins and their leader Billy Corgan still enjoy massive success. Their post 2000 work has been well received by both fans and critics alike.

Oingo Boingo isn’t underrated as far as creepy hipster cred but are very underrated on technical ability, especially Danny Elfman as a singer. Had virtually perfect pitch, and proved it outside the band in Nightmare Before Christmas. And while the band wasn’t doing crazy acrobatics, listen to Boingo Alive if you wanna hear just how tight they worked as a unit.

Elfman's voice is pretty great, he actually sounds a bit like David Byron from Uriah Heep at times.

I think he's one of those guys that was talented enough where he would've made it in any genre he wanted to do.

Gene Simmions is a seriously underrated rock bass guitar player. His basslines are unique, clever, but not ostentatious; and his tone cuts through the mix. He is a great study for rock bass. Listen to Detroit Rock City or
