Spotify doesn't pay you until you get a certain numbers of streams and not very well unless you have hundreds of thousands of streams every month. If you are a niche band with non top 40 numbers you lure your fans on spotify by putting your music there but their money goes to top 40 artists. And since ppl still believe they can support a band with their listens and they already pay for spotify they stop buying your albums.

YouTube also pays for videos viewed. I've never used YouTube music, but I've listened to tons if music on YouTube. The fact that they pay out for both makes me consider them a special case. Pandora, afaik, isn't streaming like Spotify or Tidal. They push stuff on you rather than let you make a playlist. Different case there, too.
