no. the real moral is that people do not care what they consume as long as they like the end product. "how the sausage gets made" doesn't actually turn anyone off from eating sausages if they taste good
now WHY this sounds good to people, I don't know

A virtual band like Gorillaz will become very popular in the near future, except that the characters, music videos, live show visuals, the songs and lyrics will all be AI generated. Save this post. It will happen.

this.

old person here, former touring musician.

In the 90s as living, human musicians started getting replaced by DJs in clubs, the musicians were like "but that's not live, it takes no skill to do what you're doing; you're just playing records". And the DJs said:
"nobody cares about how the music is made, they just care what's coming out of the speakers"

In the 00s as Live Producers began replacing traditional DJs, the DJS would whine, "but it takes no skill to do what you're doing, you're just pushing the play button" and the Live Producers would say, "nobody cares about how the music is made, they just care what's coming out of the speakers"

In the 10s, as it became obvious that the remaining "live" musicians were either lip synching or using real-time pitch correction, once again: "nobody cares about how the music is made, they just care what's coming out of the speakers"

Here in the 20s, as all aspects of music production are being taken over by AI, guess what: "nobody cares about how the music is made, they just care what's coming out of the speakers"

It's the way of the world, no need to be a bitch about it.

Why should I care? I'm not young anymore. You might as well ask me when did you realize you're old and say does this scare your old ass? My reply to that is I'm never going to hear this shit so why do I care? I'm the guy who if you walked up to him and asked him what are some rappers making music currently would say Roc Marciano, Freddie Gibbs, Conway The Machine. This weird kpop Netflix movie shit is way off my radar. I have heard of it. But I haven't heard it. I still pirate music the old fashioned way and I saw this shit the minute it came out on torrent sites. It didn't seem like something I would be interested in so I didn't download it.

This is just a new way of making music, so what if it's not like back in your time, unc

People are just finding new ways of being creating, now using AI tools. Very fresh. Go back to relistening to your past music collection from back in your youth, for the 400th time

AI/bots will become both the primary creators and "consumers" of music, but I have a WAY more interesting prediction : in the future, around ~20 years, music will be made with augmented people in mind, music that will sound like bad incoherent noise to an unaided brain, but like an amazing melody for the augmented ones, synesthesia will also be achievable.
Music as well know it today (and all it's genres) will eventually become a niche.

This zoomer thinks everything that uses more than a few words is written by a LLM. Lmao newfags can't comprehend the concept of pulling an entire paragraph from their internal monologue because if they even have one it's fashioned like a video game NPC's script. A few memes and stock phrases here and there. Enough cognitive expense used to write one sentence. Done.

The only time I care about how music is made is when I'm at a concert since I have no intention of paying good money to listen to just a recording.
But if I listen to my music anywhere else idgaf how it was made as long as I like it.
