In my twenties, music (you know, art created by other people) was how I expressed myself. It was a huge part of my identity. I liked music specific music to fit myself into a box, though I'd never admit it at that age. Getting into my forties, I no longer care. Listen to music more than ever, but just don't care about it. Get a melody stuck in my head, even if it's from a pop song I would never admit to liking when younger, I'll try to play on guitar when I get home from work.
Music is no longer an obsession, it's just something I enjoy, and it's never sounded better. This zoomer bitch knows whats up.
