agreed. TtB kinda got a rough reception because Hand Cannot Erase was such an amazing record.

>Bloody shit, y'all into debating whether this cocksucker in the picture was by any chance misunderstood in this unspecified record in question?

So, better?

It's one of the most embarrassing albums I've ever heard. The guy himself is one of the most embarrassing, cringe people in music ever. Forever wishing he was more than he is, forever frustrated he was never allowed into the cool alt boys club, forever attempting to make music that'll get him the praise he craves at the cost of alienating his only fans (fat prog nerds). I imagine him punching photos of Thom Yorke while crying because he's not him.

Should have sticked to making shitty yet honest prog revival.

I really love Song of Unborn, the rest didn't really stick with me but I didn't hate it.

This 100%. Even if the music's decent, knowing it came from this fag makes it unlistenable

It's decent but it feels redundant and unmemorable considering he has much better sounding albums that aren't too far away stylistically

What went wrong?

Is it just harder to talk about an album with only 2 tracks?

Lmao the Wilson hater is here already

He's just a nerd with passion for music but irony poisoned zoomers see him as cringe

There are tons of more pretentious artists than him like the entirety of windmill scene but I bet you don't hate on them

The hate boner that /mu/ and Fantano have for this guy really shows that music fans are obsessed with superficial image.

It's just a bunch of different musical ideas thrown together but unlike the previous album there is no concept to tie them together.

Also one of the singles was a blatant Prodigal rip off.

This is worse than I imagined it would be. It's so mediocre that it crosses into being bad, but so bad at being bad that it returns to being mediocre. What a waste of space.

I remember years ago someone on this board said that he stopped listening to music and just started listening to nature. I wonder where he is right now.

It's by no means his best album, and there's a bit of retread, but it's a solid effort overall. I don't think he intended on there being strict cohesion with this one.

There's some wading into pop or adult contemporary, and a loose theme of commenting on serious worldly matters, but it's more or less just a fun grab bag of tracks which may have otherwise not been created, particularly the excellent run of Permanating through Detonation.

I also view the record as a sort of encore for Ninet Tayeb. Her presence really brings some of the songs to life here. The whole runtime of People Who Eat Darkness is exhilarating!

This but it's funny how up his own ass he is he doesn't realize when he gets into lolcow territory, like when he had the Abba phase in his 50s singing in awful falsetto wanting to be taken seriously as a popstar.
He trashed Justin Bieber as shitty pop during one of his concerts like an out of touch boomer (who the fuck listened to Bieber in 2018?) being like pop can be amazing like Abba (and yours truly) before starting to sing that awful Permanating track with the falsetto chorus, embarrassing

When did he do that? Pretty sure he just wore his shirt once as a joke
