Post your favourite album art ITT
I see the album cover as the visual embodiment of the music, half the experience, if you will. It’s like the wrapper around a gift, setting the tone and mood before the first note even hits. It’s the first thing that grabs you, just like someone’s presence, their look, it pulls you in. If the cover doesn’t match the vibe of the music, it feels off, like an unbalanced introduction.

I just really love this album in general, but the cover is cool with the optical illusion of the billboard.

i swear 40% of the enjoyment people have for this album comes from the cover

Also this one, it's cool to see the physical piece of wood that this is a photo of. Honorable mention to The Slip and Year Zero by NIN too.

And finally, my favourite. This one's my wallpaper, I just love the mish-mash of spiritual procession with sci-fi attire, and it suits the song so well.

It’s almost like the purpose of an album cover is to provide atmosphere and set the tone for the music?

the cover for the remaster is just not the same as the iconic angels, i'll always wish that they justt used the 2003 CD cover art (right side) with the original covers on the faces of the TV heads edited out since they couldn't get the rights to the original

yes, the intended one for the front cover, but was swapped for this one (which is a classic). I think they turned that one into the gatefold cover/insert or something.

You (and many t shirt manufacturers) are missing the point that the original had a nice wide black border around this. At least you didn't post the version with the name and band name typed out in Arial.
