>plays the worst tremolo picked guitar you've ever heard in your life
>on like every single classic Velvets song

This is one part of TVU's sound that doesn't get discussed enough. There's enough shitty tremolo "licks" and "solos" on the first two TVU albums to make black metal fans proud. Why was Lou so enamored with this shit?

they sound cool with the shitty low quality recording. i don't think anyone is crazy about lou's talent as a guitarist though

The Velvet Underground suck so much it’s not even funny.
>it’s proto-punk
>it’s supposed to be bad
>everyone who bought the record started a band
Cope. Literally every other 60s band blew them out of the water. Lou Reed was so jealous of the Beatles that it hurts. Watching him pretend to hate them in interviews is so cringey.

And yet I would still take TVU&N or any Velvet live album over the Beatles any day. I'd take Sister Ray or Street Hassle over White Album. And I like The Beatles. And my opinion is very important.

If you don't know what tremolo picking is then look it up. If you can't identify it being used all over the first two Velvet Underground albums then maybe you're the retard.
