I really won't ever understand what people like about Perfect Day. Is it the camp aspect? It's a kitsch song and Lou sounds absolutely terrible but people seem to really like it as a straightforward "nice song". He dueted it with Pavarotti.

Not in a fun way either like aging pop divas who command you to dance while bludgeoning you with "ga ga roo ma maaa." When you can't be bubblegum no more, you can threaten your audience to make them love you. But Reed just despised his audience.
