I don't get the "VU influenced other bands singing like shit and talk singing"

Lou is just impersonating Dylan.

its one of the few "experimental" bands that actually sounds good, just from that era compare them to Beefheart or Zappa which is just tryhard unmelodic noise

Like most meme artists they're at their best when they actually try. Loaded, Paris 1919, Transformer best things these people were a part of. Take it further with another artists involved. Wrong Way Up is one of the best things Cale and Eno have been involved jn.

Les Rallizes Denudes are the best Velvet cover band and they're not even on your list

Otherwise this is a pretty comprehensive list of great Velvet Underground inspired bands

Dylan was more accessible. VU was more influential as proto punk early and then Loaded was a reflection on what everyone else was doing.

Stupid ass motherfucker I'll shove Loaded up your dick. No one would even listen to any of these three pop schlock albums if they weren't connected to the first three TVU albums.

it's more the instrumentation than the singing or lyrics that was most innovative i think.
tho lyrical themes like heroin were certainly groundbreaking.
but more so was the droning, swelling guitar music of heroin or especially cale's use of abrasive drone with the viola on venus in furs or black angel death song.

picrel were possibily the most influential early indie rock records on both sides of the atlantic and the vocals seems clearly inspired by lou reed's style

Underwater Moonlight always felt more Syd Barrett-y. Hell my only issue with that album is that it feels like he's trying a bit to hard to replicate Barrett's style with the lyrics. One of my favorite albums regardless
