Absolute nonsense. There's evidence he tried early pianos, like Silbermann's fortepianos. He criticized them for their weak high register and stiff action, but later Silbermann improved them and Bach endorsed the instruments and even helped sell them.

Bach used the clavichord for intimate practice and expression, the harpsichord for public/ensemble settings.
Regardless, none of this has anything to do with my original argument. It's irrelevant whether Bach himself preferred clavichord or harpsichord or whatever.
