Spoon are incredibly consistent. It's amazing, really. Whenever there's a new Spoon album coming out, it's guaranteed to be mediocre, sleep-inducing trash.

can anyone here explain why gen z larpers/nostalgic gen x see them as the perfect band? i don't see their output transcending past anything outside of the angsty genre they came from, a few great album/songs.

They haven't strayed from their signature brutal death metal sound but have still evolved, Webster says something to that effect and it shows. Production alone makes a leap from Gore Obsessed to Wretched Spawn, and with each consecutive album there's an impovement on all fronts.

Eh, I don't love Around the Fur and Ohms. For me, it's the run of albums from self-titled to Gore. Private Music's fine, about as good as White Pony. Adrenaline's based though.

I listened to Around the Fur, White Pony, Saturday Night Wrist, Diamond Eyes, and Koi no yokan, and I came to the educated conclusion, that I dislike Deftones very much and don't like any album of theirs I've checked out.
