Why does nothing sound remotely like this anymore? Drive to Goldenhammer is the only two remotely good “indie” record to come out this year. Everything else is overwashed in distortion pedals or dogshit “indie pop” that belongs on Kohl’s corporate playlists.

picrel: I wish I could’ve seen some of these bands in their prime (I’ve seen a bunch now) but I was too busy shitting my diaper or eating crayons.

Zach Braff helped popularize every single one of these bands and albums by featuring them on Scrubs. Scrubs ended so bands stopped trying to get on the show
