Same here. I make these huge playlists in order to cure them and learn more about music with lots of underground albums but I never actually listen to them. I'm also not good at judging music, I do not have music theory knowledge.

How does one properly analyze music and learn? I am just guided by gut feelings.

I'm one of the bigger music nerds here. I'm almost 50, spent my whole life studying and playing music, and am probably at around 50-60k hours spent making music at this point. I have a shelf full of scores that I have studied from beethoven, debussy, bartok. I've gotten deep into synthesis to the point of reading books about it and own a modular. I spent years teaching myself microtonality and polymeter. I have a book on playing polyphonics on the saxophone and studied with a teacher to specifically learn polyphonics. I wrote a string quartet on paper, I've made generative music systems, I once composed an entire track out of a fart noise using karpluss strong synthesis.

ehhhhhhhhhhh depends on the definition of that. Im pretty obsessive about music sometimes

me neither, total subjectivist so I dont see any point trying to put numerical values on art because that score is only meaningful to me, and I already know what I think of an album without having to quantify it mathematically

theres no rigid process that I got through when my schedule says its New Music Time but Im always willing to listen to anything I find interesting from any source, whether thats mu or last.fm or discogs or youtube or anywhere else
