I guess the Morrowind/Oblivion/Skyrim soundtracks fall in the elevator music category. It lends well to all the environmental exploration of Elder Scrolls stuff. It's awesome. Jeremy Soule has soul. When you are unable to appreciate an artform for the circumstances you find it in, it says a lot about your close mindedness. Just because a track is from a videogame you already discard it as music because its "made for a specific setting"? You can project your emotions and feelings on anything, be it a complex classical composition made to awaken emotions, or some background electronic beat to keep the rhythm of a bossfight. If you can't find a single vidya song you like, you prob just lack abstraction and creativity :)
