honestly, i’ve done a pretty bad job of discovering new bands lately. i used to rely on spotify discover weekly, but now that i’ve switched to apple music and i have to use a “station” instead of just queuing shit up, i don’t really bother. i just listen to my own playlist, and whatever new stuff comes out by the artists i already like. i do discover new bands sometimes still, usually by listening to openers for concerts i go to beforehand, and again after if their performance is better than expected. i also listen to random artists self promo-ing on tik tok or reddit sometimes
