Let Down made it onto the Billboard Hot 100, Radiohead's first charting single in the US since 2008

Objectively the greatest songs on the album. Very underrated though.

I'm surprised it isn't Exit Music, Karma Police, or Paranoid Android that made it up there, considering they're the most popular songs afaik

Let down is easy to binge if youre really into it and put it on repeat which is what I used to do. Before I reset me scrobbles I had scrobbled let down over 500 times in under a year lol

It was used in a couple streaming shows like how Running Up That Hill by Kate Bush got a resurgence, but the odd thing is both of the episodes with Let Down in them aired three years ago. I have no idea what the fuck specifically could have gotten it to trend this year, all the Tiktoks being featured in articles about it charting are either choir covers, stanfaggots miming the song or posting scenic shots vibing to it, memes about the song trending or asking why it's trending, or clips set to movies or sports footage. I saw it rise up on the Bubbling Under chart over the past month or two and kept expecting it to stall out at some point but now it's here.

The funny thing is it was considered to be released as a full-fledged single and had a completed music video, but the band rejected the video and the song only got a promo single in the US. The whole album was actually planned to get videos, but aside from the singles and Let Down the only other songs that got videos were Lucky back when it was originally put out as a charity single for War Child, and Fitter Happier of all things which was also never officially released. People thought the Let Down video was only available through a short clip with a weird static effect cutting it off on the director's website for years, until someone discovered in 2016 that the entire unedited thing was just sitting there in the site's code.

No sorry, I meant like an empty ballroom. Not a live gig, a 'proper' music video. Might've been shot in that place where they recorded the album, Jane Seymour's mansion? Or am I getting my 'head clips mixed up, could they have put Let Down over another already existing vid?

No Surprises is #1 by far:

No Surprises 1.06b
Karma Police 734m
Let Down 379m
Exit Music (For A Film) 360m
Paranoid Android 273m
Subterranean Homesick Alien 94m
Airbag 88m
Lucky 81m
Climbing Up the Walls 65m
The Tourist 52m
Man of War 50m
Electioneering 50m
Fitter Happier 35m

anyway Let Down is one of these radio-friendly songs that was somehow not released as a single, so no surprises there (sorry)
