As the system stands now yes, and that is the problem. They're still culturally and genetically more similar to me than nonwhites in my same class.

Does it really play out like that though? Because immigration suppresses the value of labor, and creating a more diverse country decreases the unity that the lower classes have, in turn enriching the upper class. America has been historically wealthier than other countries. If you want to maintain that then you're going to have to draw a line of who is and who isn't American. Historically that was race, and as that was true we kept getting wealthier. Remove that in the 1960s and the living standards start dropping. Makes you think, huh?
