GG wasn't really "crazy." As far as I know, most of his behavior comes from him being a narcissist who craved attention and realized the more shocking and outrageous he acted, the more people talked about him. That's both the sense I got from him as well as what former bandmate Steve Spenard said in one of the many videos he has about GG on his YouTube channel, drastically Reduced. It's also apparent with how lucid he is in situations where he didn't know he was being recorded, like the phone conversations on The Troubled Troubadour.

The "craziest" thing about him, at least to me, would be his messiah complex since that would be a delusion. But considering no psychiatrist who evaluated him ever diagnosed him with anything beyond personality disorders, I suspect that's something he played up from his dad naming him Jesus Christ and knowing it's another thing that would shock and offend religious boomers.

maybe it's just cause I remember when he was more innocuous with his desperate attention grabbing (yknow stuff like "george bush doesn't care about black people" or "imma let you finish") but I still don't believe that he actually believes anything he says and that it's all just desperate attention seeking that has reached the inevitable conclusion of releasing singles titled "heil hitler."
