Yeah I think a lot of people's minds went straight to Howe. Great guitarist, though. The opening solo on Close to the Edge is one of the best solos ever. His style is really unique, especially for the early 70s. Can't think of anyone else that sounds quite like him. Doesn't sound like usual prog wank. Surprisingly raw sounding for the genre.
