It's a sorry state of affairs that the psyop behind this band worked.
Rock radio is now at least half singles from bands like Greta Van Fleet.
It's not even just Zep wannabes either, lots of blatant skynyrd ripoffs too.
I have met multiple people (some older than me) who either don't care or have no idea that these awful bands are just blatant ripoffs and LARPs.
It's never been more over.

only know of them because of the hoffman forum. some boomers were claiming they were good. had never heard of them. this is when they appeared on snl. i legit thought their appearance was a sketch. shortly after boomers were hyped for their latest album and then the lead singer announced he was a faggot. support for the band on there seemed to dissipate shortly thereafter. its no wonder rock is dead when a band like this not only exists and gets a record deal but gets a big push by their record label

What happens if you imitate the greatest band that has ever played? Regardless of how bad you are, the fact that what you are replicating is so great, even looking in that direction and making something automatically raise it by multiple tiers.

They might not be a pinacle of rock and they definitely ain't succeeding their inspirator, but to say they don't have a good song here and there that kinda scratches that "golden itch of Led Zeppelin" is plainly spiteful contretianism.
