The term "spiritual jazz" was not uncommon in the 20th century, with many hits in contemporary music publications. Here's Gene Krupa on a song called "spiritual jazz" in 1959

OP's an inarticulate shitposter like all the others and he's referring to the wave of sanitized pop-jazz and jazz funk pushed by NPR and music blogs/youtubers circa 2014-2017. Badbadnotgood, Kamasi Washington, Thundercat, Kaytranada, Ryo Fukui

Roberts isn't spiritual but she does have a lot of hipster fans thanks to Fantano. She's rooted in blues and golden age jazz so she's a real one. The rest is ignorant hipster trash.

This. I can still remember when the term "spiritual jazz" referred to music deeply influenced by negro spirituals, not a pretentious label to make generic funky afrobeats sound more philosophical to tismtards. It's all downstream from people trying to shoehorn the term "jazzy" to describe random music to make it sound more sophisticated.
