I unironically think this is a huge part of the mainstream success of bands like Ghost and Sleep Token. Tobias Forge was some dorky guy already in his 30s when the first Ghost album came out. Nobody wants to hear rock/metal from older people unless they're already established musicians with a discography and fanbase. Lemmy was in his 30s when he started Motorhead, but people knew him from Hawkwind and Danzig was in his 30s when he started his solo band, but people knew him from the Misfits/Samhain

>Stratovarius
Are there any original members left? Stratovarius was always weird because I somehow think of it was "Tolkki's" own band. But Tolkki left in 2008.
But then I learned that the very first lineup of Stratovarius was Lassila, VihervΓ€, StrΓ₯hlman and Tolkki came to the band later on. None playing in current Strato.
So the band has had like 3 total "reforms" and still continues? I thinki the stuff where Tolkki was in vocals is still mad good power metal, even though Kotipelto is their most famous singer

BATLORD came into their own with black mark, but then kind of evolved their sound, deciding that focusing on Satanism was kinda boring and decided that opposing Christianity by promoting pre-Christian Pagan Scandinavian culture was a better way, somewhere along the line he learned how to sing and even started multi-tracking his own vocals to make choirs.

I wouldn't call Tom the leader of Slayer really, Jeff was the primary songwriter.
For Iron Maiden and Carcass, their bassists are also primary songwriters.
I can't think of 5 though, especially without including Iron Maiden
Carcass
Motorhead
that's all I can really think of unless you allow hard Rock (Rush, Thin Lizzy), or just Bassist/Vocalists who are numerous (like Slayer, Morbid Angel, etc)
I think Rhythm Guitarist led bands are far more common (Metallica, Megadeth, Death, etc)

like I typed out the list then backspaced over it, typed out again and then knew I was forgetting something, Type O was it.
I don't consider Morbid Angel "led" by bassist because Trey is the lead guitarist and lead songwriter and well, only founding member still left.
but Motorhead, Carcass, Type O Negative, Deicide, Sodom, there's the 5.

Metallica should not be considered part of the thrash Big Four. They were a heavy metal band that played thrash. When they weren't pushing for commercial heavy metal accessibility (seen on parts of RTL and MOP, then achieved on the black album), they were indulging in prog heavy metal like the middle of the song Master of Puppets or most of AJFA. Their 80s albums past KEA don't even have that many thrash songs.

yeah there are distinct "black neighborhoods" and "latino neighborhoods" and full blown "chinatowns" in cities.
The exception to the rule is in small suburbs you might get 1 black or brown family in a small white town. But it's certainly not homgenized.
The only places you really see a "diverse" racial mix is in universities and the military where they force integration.

can't say I've ever encountered that one but when I was driving cross country a couple years ago on a move I was culture shocked when I crossed into Illinois, having driven through Washington (lots of Asians in the Seattle area but otherwise the state seemed mostly white), Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Colorado (have some family there that I went to visit along the way) Nebraska, and Iowa.. it was almost all white everywhere, occasional random brown or black person but they were pretty rare.
Then I get into Rock Island, IL late at night and like had to stop for directions to find a hotel cause I had no real idea where I was.. I was downtown there and .. yeah.. it was black people everywhere lmao I was not prepared for it going from lily white across half the country then BAM Blacks everywhere.

So was Chuck Schuldiner but you don't see anyone saying that here
djent is not a genre, its a way to play guitar
it can thus be part of any genre with a guitar

Chuck Schuldiner is a jewish faggot may he continue to rot in hell

"djent" is an even more retarded name for a genre than PC Music. Bravo to whatever mouth-breathing zoomer came up with it.

It's called "djent" because that's the sound the guitar makes when you play the chords. Pretty cool, right?

a very drunk Fredrik Thorendal came up with the term as an onomatopoeia for palm muted chugs.
Someone just ended up applying it to a subgenre of music inspired by Meshuggah.
