Several now archived threads ago...in a galaxy far far away...

An Anon and I got talking about chord theory and interval recognition in relation to guitar. After discussion that really went no where, we said to one another if we find something that explains this music notation interval recognition in a concise manner that we'd post it.

Well I finally found something that seems to match that (see the attached long pic compilation) and these pages are scanned from Alfred's Chord Encyclopedia (not by me). Anyhow, I hope this finds the Anon who asked. I'm still working through it all and can't answer questions about it yet as I don't know what I'm doing yet...but it seems to list chord construction rules built on the intervals in a concise manner.

You'll have to chop it up into smaller pics if you want it in a different size/format. I am not going to post 5 different jpg's.

I mainly want those roland 120, marshall plexi, and the klon sounds desu, positive grid bias seems to do as good a job of replicating toob amp dynamics as boss does now, I just haven't used any pure modelers like that that run off an IC since old line 6 garbage in 2008.

he's right tho. basically every guitar that isn't a martin or is specifically trying to copy a martin are very bright. they sound very articulate and balanced but it's not going to sound the same as half the acoustic recordings in the known universe. the martin sound is like a tone knob is rolled off, they have practically no high end. its not bad for campfire strumming but if you put two guitars next to eachother it sounds like you're hearing the martin from the other side of a wall. taylors are specifically really bright tho, even their 517/717 models which are trying to compete with martins are quite bright.

Any of you guys ever play any of the old Ibanez Artist series guitars from the 70s and 80s? There’s one locally that’s been for sale for a while and I’m thinking about seeing if he wants to trade for my Japanese Mustang. I’m really picky about humbucker guitars and this might be something worth checking out. Pic is just one off reverb, not the actual guitar

For sure, I imagine it sounds more like the room itself than the instruments. You could put that condenser (if it does cardioid) facing the drum kit, a few feet back, at roughly snare height and get a decent sound. Then throw a dynamic on the guitar cab. Those Sennheiser E609s are great for this because you can just hang it in front of the speaker, no stand needed.

probably staying with a scale shape they are familiar with, also melodies are more enjoyable and memorable if they don't make large jumps inbetween pitches constantly. improvising doesn't necessarily mean just playing random shit everywhere on the neck.

I like double cuts. I’ve never played. Les Paul that left me feeling like I wanted it other than Specials and Juniors. Something about regular old LPs just don’t click with me. I have a hard time finding the right humbucker guitar for me, I like my Super Sonic but I also just want something that isn’t as Fender-y, and this Ibanez is in town and different. He’s also got an old first gen Iceman that might be cool but those are way out of my type of guitar range. I don’t shred. If I did shred maybe the Iceman would be right up my alley.

Should the bass follow the kick drum in the drums?

I played with a band for the first time this week at church, but I had the slight impression that I wasn’t 100% synchronized with the drums, although I was keeping time according to the chord charts I was reading. I didn’t get any feedback about my performance, only comments about the fact that I played that night.

I’m puzzled. Did I play badly? Could the bass have sounded dissonant and out of harmony with the other instruments?

Would've been out of pocket 250$ had I gone with it for the new amp, just walked and I'm going to suffer with the little guy for now.

CNC or not, I can only get a proper 21 fret Strat in lacquer from the US. And there's no point in getting anything else.
Quite possible to 24.75 lacquer guitars all over the place. Quite possible to get 25.5 22 fret lacquered guitars easily too. But not the 21 frets. Not because they aren't capable. They just don't bother with it. Japan is the closest with their Trad models, but rarely use Lacquer. Which is cool. No slaves there. I'd buy that for a poly guitar if I wanted one.

I wouldn't doubt it. There are records of both slavery and child slavery in China. And the regular workers aren't doing so hot either. The idea of a Chinese middle class is a lie, shilled by both corps and the CCP and dragging all of us down with them. They especially count on the American consoomer just not giving a shit. And they don't.

Magnetic window. kek. The neck pickup on a Strat is placed right where a 24th would otherwise be. You can get harmonics right over the pickup. And it has to be single coil. Not even an HB would work.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9e5eu0O0c7w

You can technically achieve this ona 22 fret, but it's a shoddy process where the fretboard overhangs.

If it was alive, their factories would have easily taken the hit of the tarriffs and not shut down. They couldn't sell anything back to Chinese consumers. They don't have dispensable income Which is what middle class does, at the end of the day.
Most of the money Chinese goods earns goes straight to the CCP instead. That's why they've built their military up so quickly.
