And in jazz, the sax player's volume is always 10 times louder than the rest of the ensemble. It's maddening.

Sax players never shut the fuck up. Alto sax players in particular that don't stop soloing are so irritating to me, I'm pretty sure it's the timbre, it becomes offensive to my ear. Tenor sax is a bit better, but the people playing them are usually cunts.
