because they hated each other and were unprofessional in letting it show onstage.

During the monsters of rock in 1988, EVH even sat George Lynch down and was like "look I fucking hated DLR but when we were onstage we looked like the best buddies in the world. It's a show, put on a show."

Dokken also had the very unenviable task of going on right after the then-very-hungry Metallica, who had just completely obliterated the crowd in the middle of a hot summer day, every day on that tour.

I was there, it was spectacular. Poor Dokken, everyone was just wrung out after Metallica. So we all went and had beer and chilled out waiting for the Scorpions.

All of these shredders live comfortably though. So I guess it worked out. Lynch owns land in the Cali desert and blasts his amp freely all day. Sounds like a good life. Yngwie Malmsteen just keeps buying Ferraris somehow and wears thick gold chains like a gangster. I don't know where he get all his money but it seems to be a lot.

Looking at their discography album sales they had 3 albums that went platinum so they did make it.It's just since the 90s the band disbanded or something im not sure,but during the hair metal years they made it with multiple albums going platinum
