what is the most Holy music?
For me, it's Gregorio Allegri's "Miserere mei, Deus." (Translation: "Have mercy upon me, God"). Composed in 1630. Lyrically sourced from the Latin translation of Psalm 51, the "Psalm of Mercy". Performed by Tenebrae choir.

Apparently the Miserere's notation was kept a secret by the Vatican and Sistine Chapel musicians for years. When he was 14, a young Mozart visited Rome with his dad and heard it. Then he privately copied it line by line. This started circulating in German circles until the Pope caught wind of it. But instead of chastising the kid, he praised him and lifted the ban of secrecy on the Miserere. I don't know if it's a tall tale or not.

Lou Reed sang a nice song to Jesus. And Andy was actually a Catholic who went to church every Sunday with his mom and gave a lot to charities.
He was just a sensitive guy who tried to give a home to outsider kids and junkies.

Technically the most holy music is anything based on the Psalms (Allegri's Miserere included) because the Psalms, among a few other things like the Song of the Sea in Exodus 15, are the only songs directly inspired by God.
