it's not because it didn't happen
he had to switch to edibles because smoking weed fucked his lungs
any danger was entirely from trying to still smoke weed

Huh? You're gonna go to Willie Nelson and if he performs "poorly" at 92, you'll be a buttmad bitch about it? Ageist bandwagon pissant.
I saw Willie last summer with Bob. Willie sounded great, and he's playing with his son. You have absolutely no idea what to expect from a Willie Nelson concert in 2025? You'll find out for yourself. Remind yourself to not act like such a pissant. He's 92.
I remember Christgau wrote about when he saw Willie in 96 (actually the first time he'd ever been to one of his concerts, guess he was busy and never found the time) and that was almost 30 years ago and dude was already almost Social Security age then.
Johnny Mathis retired in May because he said he couldn't stand on stage anymore and he's two years younger than Willie. Maybe he could have tried sitting too if standing was too difficult at his current age.

sort of like Dylan who can probably keep going as long as he can get up onstage since none of his performing style is exactly physically taxing
>>127638929 >who happened to be grouped as country due to being from the South
that and the fact that he started out in nashville writing songs for country music stars/ lol

True. He's probably only like 26 or 27, but the weed makes him look super old and he just rolls with people thinking he's some kind of legacy country artist
>>127637840 (OP) >i dont know if I'm coming or going >if it's them or me >but one thing's for certain, >Willie Nelson only smokes killer weed
thats why

he's also older than Pat Boone or Johnny Mathis. the first record he put out was in '57, which was two years after Pat's debut but the same year Mathis and Valli (when his group was called The Four Lovers) released their first.

Boone's first single was actually 1953, he was initially on indie label Republic Records before Dot signed him, however he did not have a charting hit until "Two Hearts" in spring '55.

I find that most of those guys who find success later in life also live long lives, Ridley Scott, Tolkien, Colonel Sanders, Morgan Freeman, Willie, etc
