My first bought CD was the other Beatles compilation from that decade, "LOVE", back in like 2010 or so. It still holds high nostalgic value to me. I lost it now unfortunately.

i only had 20 bucks to buy a new album for my DC trip in 8th grade. the lady at the record store showed me the dischord rack and showed me i could get 2 records instead of just 1. so i bought the ones that had pics of DC on the cover
i still think the b-side of in on the kill taker is one of the best sides of that entire decade

i think the first album that i ever got (not bought myself) was blurs s/t

Demon Days, when i was about 13yo. I can't remember if I spent my own money on it or if my parents gifted it. I was usually broke.

always thought it was funny how i found it backwards
blurs s/t was graham finally being allowed to go full fugazi. but i was in 4th grade tho. at that point i didnt even know it was a guitar making most of those noises. once i got in on the kill taker i was like "ooooohhhhh so thats what a guitar does"

It was either
Twister soundtrack
Hootie and the Blowfish
Or the Batman and Robin soundtrack
All on cassette
First CD I ever bought was NSYNCs debut
First CD I ever borrowed and never gave back was Backstreet Boys Millennium
I also remember buying Coldplay's X&Y at the Mall of Georgia Barnes and Noble on release week and I think it is one of the greatest albums of all time
