I lived in Detroit as the only white person around and never heard gunshots. Some shit did go down in my neighborhood but it wasn't a warzone day after day like this post is trying to claim. I'm from Northern Michigan and most of my family is afraid of Detroit which is just funny to me. I'm not afraid of Detroit, or Saginaw, or Flint. I minded my own business and people left me alone. I ate a lot of Detroit style pizza and coney dogs. I took Ubers to go see Red Wings games and rap concerts. Such is life when you're not a gigantic pussy. I also had a gun but I never had to use it.
