For the past year i made around 60-70 finished songs. I feel like im better than ever in terms of production skills but im still lacking in inspiration/ creativity department. I just dish out songs but im not sure they move me or the listener that much. Today when instruments and equipment are easily accessible and when anyone can put a song online, you have to bring something different, original and engaging to the table

Got any success with it? How many plays does your most popular song have? Also which genre do you make

pretty good, trying to turn a song I half assed 8 years ago into a well produced fully realized song because I love the chord progression. oh yeah and I lost my band like 8 years ago

quantity over quality is a bad strategy, if you can finish 70 songs in a year you should restructure that and finish 13 amazing songs in a year and put out a dope album. I'm the opposite I did one song this year but I think it was great desu

well obviously i would rather make 1 good song than 10 mediocre ones but i dont know how
if you are making a song that's pretty good i simply don't know how to make it better. i know how to finish it. that i do know, i finish it up, add drums and bass and pads if applicable but i never make major changes to a song cause i have no idea how to do that. maybe i should practice that skill too. i guess when i finish a song i should figure out what is it lacking and what are the weak parts. then change them up. idk what else to do. surely you have bunch of unfinished projects? how do you make a song great?
