Is Big L the greatest rapper of all time?
He's definitely my personal favorite. Great flow and lyrically he is so gifted.

He was incredible live too, which you can't always say about rappers that are good in the studio

His freestyle work is crazy too, here he is obliterating Jay Z on a radio show https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LrT-myyoOlk

I wouldn't say he's the greatest of all time, he's probably the greatest punchline rapper of all time though

apparently the only rapper Nas feared to battle.
Big L was very good.

He is okay. I don't think he is the greatest. Nas would be a better contender because he has a way larger discography with no notably bad albums.

great rapper lyricist with a good flow, but i couldnt get past his goofy chris tucker voice. maybe if he lived to be an older man that voice woulda deepened and i coulda taken him more seriously

he's a great rapper, but I think Big Pun and Rakim are above him

>wanting the rapper to have a deeper voice
this sounds very gay

Kool G Rap is the best lyricist imo, followed by Big L, Big Pun, Eminem, Treach from Naughty By Nature and Lil Wayne. Kool G Rap created lyricism in the 80s. He was the first to have the fast, unstoppable flow.

He's great, lyrically talented and insane enough that even his lesser songs make an impression on you in some way or another. I don't know if I'd call him the greatest, though if he had lived a little longer, he would almost certainly have been a serious contender.
